Snake River- Nebraska's premier trout Fly Fishing location

Over the years, the Nebraska fish and game department has kept the Snake River well stocked with both Rainbow and German Brown trout. In the past couple of years, much to the delight of our fly fishers, we have stocked our section (7 miles) of the river with Rainbow and German Brown trout and have allowed the fish to grow and thrive. The typical trout caught averages 13 to 18 inches in length with numerous catches up to 26 inches. They are a territorial fish and are known as tenacious fighters, delighting fly fishers from across the country. In recent years, our river has produced several master anglers.

The Snake River is a natural setting for trout as it is spring-fed throughout its journey. It has an abundance of both shade and sunshine areas, flat and riffled water, and differing bottoms (mostly sand but some rock). It varies in width (15 to 45 feet) and in depths (it has shelves where riffles empty into pools).

We book fly fishing dates all year round and look forward to adding you to our list of satisfied fly fishers. We specialize in hospitality and provide a relaxing and rewarding environment in which our fly fishers can thoroughly enjoy themselves.

Most all of the Snake River is privately owned, and remains one of the best kept fishing secrets in Nebraska.
